IMPACTS OF SOCCER ON EXECUTIVE FUNCTION IN BOYS WITH ADHD

ABSTRACT Introduction: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurobiological disorder of genetic causes that appears in childhood. The main manifestations are inattention, hyperactivity, and emotional impulsivity. It often accompanied by cognitive impairments learning disabilities seriously affect children's life, academic social functions. Objective: Explore the impacts soccer practice on executive function boys with ADHD. Methods: Boys were selected from first second graders public elementary school. They randomly divided into an experimental group control group, 8 recruited according to age difference less than half year. All children participated various school sports activities, was added for 6 weeks. Results: There no significant subfunction between activity conventional physical education teaching group; however, interaction time factors proved be P (4142) = 6.296, F< 0.01, it can understood effect factor flexibility varies different groups. Conclusion: six-week intervention improve 6-8-year-old ADHD, especially inhibition flexibility, but does not represent memory. Level evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigating treatment outcomes.
